Boxing - 4th World Women's Boxing

Tuesday proved to be a bountiful day for India as seven of their boxers romped into the semifinals of the 4th World Women's Boxing Championship at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium. With eight of its members in the last four stage, the day's exploits made sure that the host contingent would end up with a handful of medals.
The happy procession was led by world champion MC Mary Kom who, fighting in front of empty galleries, galloped to a 19-4 win over Sri Lanka's Chandrika Guruge. Source : Times of India
